Current Conversations with Ancient Texts: A Community-Based Reading Group

February 28 @ 2:45 pm - 4:00 pm

A line drawing of a person's face as part of a cover of a play called "Alcestis: A Stage Adaptation of Euripedes' Tragedy.

Please join us for a community-based reading group of a classic Greek play, Euripides’ Alcestis, in order to show how these texts can be used to have conversations about pressing societal issues. With a story at the center of discussion, community members can begin to tackle questions like: What responsibilities do we have toward one another? How do we determine right and wrong? We will demonstrate the method of implementing reading groups across ages and backgrounds in community settings by bringing together members of the Carolina and local community.

Registration for this event is closed. Thanks to everyone who came out on Wednesday afternoon!
