Photo of presenter, Ximena Perez-Velazco

This event will include a didactic and interactive presentation highlighting illustrative quotes and themes gleaned from focus groups held with university students who are experiencing food insecurity, the topic of the presenter’s dissertation research. During the event, participants will be asked to join in on a simulation of what it is like to seek out SNAP (The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits to combat food insecurity, while taking on the role of college students whose unique circumstances will determine their SNAP eligibility.

Registration has closed for this event. Thanks to everyone who came out on Tuesday afternoon!
