With over 300 partners in all 100 North Carolina counties, the North Carolina Digital Heritage Center engages with museums, archives, libraries, alumni associations, historic sites and other cultural heritage groups who want to share their collections online. Center staff work closely with these organizations to transfer a variety of materials to digital formats, sharing images, audio, and sound on DigitalNC.org. From maps to moving images, stories from North Carolina communities of all sizes make their way to an international audience. Together, the Center and its partners document and increase access to the state’s complex local history.
