This presentation will highlight a collaborative rural community partnership featuring an informal science center (Morehead Planetarium and Science Center), local school district (Gates County Schools), and local non-profit (Gates County Community Partnership). Discussion will include how these partners implemented a community-wide collaborative effort that resulted in academic achievements for the students and increased family science engagement in a rural community.
