What do you need? Engaging in a Rural, Regional, Medication Optimization Needs Assessment

February 28, 2023 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Event Recap

Event Description

At this presentation, participants will learn about the ongoing process of engaging with rural federally qualified health centers (FQHC) offering primary care services across Western North Carolina to conduct a multi-faceted medication optimization needs assessment. Join the session to hear the background of “why” the assessment is happening, steps taken to engage meaningfully with partners, challenges faced along the way, and goals for moving forward once the findings are compiled. The assessment involves four FQHC partners representing multiple counties in Western NC; it is funded by the Dogwood Trust, which focuses on improving the health of Western North Carolina residents. The presenter will use multiple choice questions and polls to engage the audience around key elements of the presentation.

This is an in-person event with a hybrid option – registrants who would like to receive a link to participate in the meeting via Zoom should send a note to engagementweek@unc.edu to request it.
