Survive SHARE Overcome: Lessons from the Classroom

During this presentation, participants will learn about an academic enrichment and physical activity program called “Brains and Games” that was developed and implemented by two UNC medical students in collaboration with the Boys and Girls Club of Durham and Orange Counties during summer 2022. In the words of Professor Van Helsing in Bram Stoker’s classic novel Dracula, “We learn from failure, not from successes!” Participants will be inspired by stories of facing challenges and improving performance, while also learning fun facts such as why ooblek (a classic non-Newtonian fluid experiment) is usually dyed with food coloring!
