Supporting Entrepreneurs in the Mount Olive Region of NC

During the Fall of 2021, CREATE, an affiliated center of the Kenan Institute of Private Enterprise, worked with the University of Mount Olive and community stakeholders to examine economic development strategies for the Mount Olive Region with the goal of increasing entrepreneurship and business resiliency. The presentation will go over this project and its outcomes. CREATE and the University of Mount Olive will present their economic development goals, research and next steps towards increasing entrepreneurship in the Mount Olive region of North Carolina. CREATE works with communities across North Carolina on economic development research for communities and technical assistance for small businesses. Through this project, UNC- Chapel Hill worked with the University of Mount Olive, regional economic developers and other stakeholder groups to pursue economic development goals.
