Partnering with HBCUs to Promote Scholarship and Learning on Cancer-Related Research

UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center has partnered with North Carolina Central University and North Carolina A&T State University to offer semester-long classes and a lecture series to broaden opportunities for historically Black college and university (HBCU) students to learn the science of cancer research and ways to address health disparities. HBCU students gain STEM knowledge and networks, and Lineberger is building its pipeline of future researchers. Presenters will talk about their partnership, successes and ways UNC and HBCUs together can advance research and education in North Carolina.
