Ideas to Action: Effective Local Governance

February 28 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

We cordially invite you to “Ideas to Action: Effective Local Governance,” an insightful event organized by Student Life and Leadership’s Civic Engagement Office, along with local Town Council member Theodore Nollert. This event presents an excellent opportunity to learn about effective community involvement strategies and to engage in meaningful dialogue about making a difference in local government through interactive games and discussions. We will address the issues most pertinent to UNC students and employees on and around campus, such as housing, parking, libraries, and recreation centers, and explore their connections to the corresponding government entities. Finally, participants will gain valuable knowledge on effectively making their voices heard on civic engagement-related matters.

Presenters: Theodore Nollert, Chapel Hill Town Council Member; Student Life and Leadership’s Civic Engagement Office (Tiffany Jones, Sabina Sabal and Bethany Daniel)
