Engaging Tribal Communities

February 28, 2023 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Native nations maintain a distinct political relationship with the United States. Given this political standing, engaging tribal communities is often complex and diverse. This workshop will cover foundational information about the unique status of Native nations, survey the North Carolina tribal landscape, and offer general lessons in engaging tribal communities.

This is an in-person, outdoor event, which will be held across the street from the UNC-Chapel Hill American Indian Center, on the future site of the American Indian Cultural Garden. In the event of bad weather, registrants will be sent a Zoom invitation on the day of the event.
