Beyond the Stage: How Community Shaped Rich With History

 

Description: On February 27 and 28, Carolina Performing Arts will present the world premiere of Rich With History and other stuff you say at a haunted house, a theater performance by Southern Futures Resident Artists Marcella Murray, David Neumann and Tei Blow of Advanced Beginner Group. Rich With History extends the ensemble’s years-long exploration of race and relationship—mixed with sly humor, unexpected dances and plantation tours—enriched by their residency experience at UNC-Chapel Hill. On February 27 and 28, join us after the performance for a free conversation with the artists about how long-term engagement with the Chapel Hill community has shaped their piece.
